Rawene Centre

The Rawene Centre has been set up as a community centre for groups from the surrounding area to use. It has three functioning levels totaling 3000 sqm and around 2000 people using its facilities each week.

As well as being the home of our church, our vision for Rawene Centre is to see it become a focal point for our community. We hope to see Rawene Centre being utilized to capacity with BCC ministries and initiatives for our community. This gives us the opportunity to build bridges to our community, forge friendships and relationships, and actively demonstrate God’s amazing love to the people we come in contact with.

The church has set up the Willow Christian Trust to oversee the Centre and to manage its use. The Manager is Arlene Tyler, who is available on Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Seniors Afternoon TeaWe already have many BCC ministries currently working out of the building, alongside many community groups who call Rawene Centre home. Current groups using the facilities include: Adult Literacy, Ante-Natal classes, XSeed Foundation, Freedom Fitness Gym, Rotary, Citizens Advice Bureau, Focus 2000, Onnuri Church and The North Shore City Council. Even with all these groups in action, there is still plenty of opportunity to rent further space or use it for local community functions.

The building contains an auditorium which seats 350 people. There is a large function room, with spectacular views of Auckland city. This can seat 100 people at tables and has a commercial quality kitchen. There are also a variety of meeting rooms, with space for 10-40 people.

A very large unlined area is also available, suitable for concerts, youth events and art exhibitions. It can easily take 300 people. A recording studio is also available at the Centre.
